An Elburn man has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

Aurora police arrested Blaine A. Pattermann, 47, of the 100 block of North 1st Street, at 4:35 p.m. Thursday.

Officers reported seeing a vehicle cross over the center line while driving north on Randall Road near Indian Trail Road. While searching the vehicle before towing it, they found a bag containing .64 grams of cocaine under the floor mat on the driver’s area of the vehicle.

Pattermann was charged with misdemeanor driving without a valid license, and given tickets charging him with speeding, improper lane use, driving with an obstructed windshield (police reported seeing sunglasses hanging from the rearview mirror) and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, police said.

He has a 2009 conviction in Kane County for driving under the influence.
