Update: Since the Bulls beat the Jazz 91-86 in Salt Lake City on Feb. 9, coach Jerry Sloan resigned, point guard Deron Williams was traded to New Jersey, and Utah has gone 3-8 to fall out of playoff position in the Western Conference. One positive for the Jazz is PF Al Jefferson, who averaged 27.9 points and 10.3 rebounds in the 10 games before Friday’s contest in Minnesota. PG Devin Harris averaged 17.2 points in his first seven games with Utah.
