Jennifer Hudson, Maroon 5 heading to Ravinia

Ravinia Festival in Highland Park will have something to offer music fans of just about every kind in 2011.

Classic rock, jazz, country, classical and Broadway-style tunes all have a place on this year's slate of artists.

On the pop and rock side of things, Ravinia will host performances this season by the Go-Go's and the B-52s (June 17), Maroon 5 (June 30, July 1) and Los Lobos (Aug. 10).

Jennifer Hudson will belt out her powerful R & B hits on July 16. The Judds (June 10), Lyle Lovett (Aug. 21) and Carrie Underwood (Sept. 4) are among the country acts on the schedule.

Other stars scheduled to perform include jazz pianist Dave Brubeck (June 19), iconic singer Tony Bennett (Aug. 26) and Broadway mainstay Mandy Patinkin with opera star Nathan Gunn (Aug. 31).

“It truly is a something-for-everyone venue, and as they say about Chicago weather, stick around because tomorrow will be different,” Ravinia President and CEO Welz Kauffman said in a release.

Tickets for all shows are available now with a Ravinia donation exclusively at ravinia.org. Public ticket online sales begin on April 27, and phone sales begin May 22 at (847) 266-5100.

Ravinia Festival is located at Lake-Cook and Green Bay roads in Highland Park. For a full schedule and ticket prices, go to ravinia.org.
