The sports bar next to Arlington Park is reopening under a new old name.
For 20 years, the bar had been called Mr. D’s in honor of Arlington Park Chairman Dick Duchossois. However, in 2010 the name was changed to Longshots.
But when the bar was reopened this week for the 2011 horse racing season, it was under Mr. D’s moniker once again.
The bar will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until the racing season begin in full in May.
In addition to the renaming, the bar will also be serving pizzas called Savy’s Pizza created by a company owned by Chicago Blackhawks legend Denis Savard. The pizza will soon be sold at area grocery stores as well later this month.
