Woman wearing pig mask robs Fox River Grove salon

Fox River Grove police are looking for an armed robber who stole about $160 from a tanning salon Saturday night.

About 5:50 p.m., a woman wearing a pig mask and carrying a black semi-automatic handgun came into the L.A. Tan on the 700 block of Northwest Highway and ordered the employee on duty to open the cash register drawer, according to a Fox River Grove police news release.

The robber then told the employee to go into one of the tanning rooms. The employee came out after she heard the door chime and found the register empty, police said.

The robber is described as a white female about 5 feet tall with a slim build. In addition to the mask, she was wearing a dark wig and a camoflage jacket, police said.
