About this Article

An employee at a Wauconda pharmacy shot a man who tried to rob the business on Monday afternoon. Wauconda Police Chief Doug Larsson said the man walked into the pharmacy at the corner of Liberty and Main streets at about 1:45 p.m. Monday and made a “robbery demand” to one of the pharmacists on duty. A physical struggle ensued between the employee and the man, Larsson said, and a second pharmacist at the store shot the man.
