When: Opens Friday for the 102nd year of racing

Where: 3501 S. Laramie in Stickney/Cicero

First post: 1:30 p.m.

Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays in February; Beginning in March, live racing will take place every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and run through the end of April.

April 9: Grade 3 Illinois Derby, a race that has sent the last nine winners to the Kentucky Derby.

April 23: Illinois Champions Day, featuring six stakes races for Illinois-breds, each worth $100,000 apiece.
