Detroit pulls out 77-63 win over Illinois-Chicago

DETROIT — Ray McCallum snagged a double-double, scoring 12 points and making 10 assists, to boost Detroit to a 77-63 win over Illinois-Chicago on Thursday night.

The score was tied at 35 at halftime, but the Titans (12-12, 6-6 Horizon) went on to shoot 54.8 percent from the field in the second half and led by as many as 16 points.

Robo Kreps scored a game-high 25 points for the Flames (6-17, 1-10), who fell to 31.4 percent shooting from the field in the second half after hitting 60.9 percent in the first.

Chase Simon led Detroit in scoring with 20 points, making 10 of 18 from the field, while Nick Minnerath added 14 points and Eli Holman 10.

Paul Carter and Darrin Williams each chipped in with 10 points for the Flames.
