Questions & Answers

What makes you the best candidate for the job?

In choosing a person for the Algonquin Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District Trustee, it is important to be fair, open-minded and accessible to everyone. I have experience in serving on boards and overlooking budgets. As a Trustee member, I can see that we use the taxpayers money wisely and question line items and expense reports. For 7 years I have been in management where I work and also experience in managing budgets and review the bottom line costs. But the best reason to vote for me is that I will work to maintain fiscal responsibility and to serve the individuals whom I call friends and neighbors.

Why are you running for this office, whether for re-election or election the first time? Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is it?

As a Trustee member I will freely advise and approve and disapprove of expenditures and annual budgets. I will represent the interests and needs of our fire district citizens. I will work with the other board members to craft standards and appropriate funds to provide for the legitimate needs while respecting everyone's desire to keep taxes low. Finally, if you think I can make our fire district a better place by serving the people of Algonquin Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District as a Fire District Trustee, then vote for me.

Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest fire safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.
