As a self employeed business person I have the flexibility to devote the time required for this position. I know first hand of the valuable services provided by the District and how those services impact the residents living in the District and the value of their homes.Why are you running for this office, whether for re-election or election the first time? Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is it?I am a self motivated hard worker and I truly care about the Bartlett Fire Protection District. I am committed to the improvement of services available to the residents while always keeping a watchfull eye on the budget.Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest fire safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.Overall I believe the residents of the District are happy with the fire safety in the District. Response time and Mutual Aid participation has been ""Top Notch"".In these tight economic times, budgets have to be prioritized. Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?I believe the Bartlett Fire Protection District has been fiscally responsible. The District received 91% of the anticipated taxes and used only 85% of its anticipated budget. I would like to see this fiscally sound responsibility continue into the future.Would you support sharing/pooling resources (i.e. printing, vehicles) with other local governments (school districts, village, etc.)? If so, what areas would you consider combining or merging to save money or improve efficiencyBartlett Fire Protection District has been successfully involved in Mutual Aid and Inter-Governmental cooperation for many years. I hope to see this continue as it has been a way to keep expenses and cost down.
