If you are a non-incumbent, tell us what contributions you would make.Collectively the Dundee Township Public Library Board updated the library interior, started researching options for a west side of the Fox River facility and, with the aid of library employees, has created a hip library for all age groups. We strive to have something for everyone.Do you have a library card? How long have you had it? How often do you use it?Yes. I was using my Elk Grove library card at the Dundee Township Public Library before I moved to the Dundee Township five years ago. I use my library card and the website endlessly.Space is usually an issue at libraries. If that's the case at your library, would your solution be to expand the physical plant or make room by doing away with parts of the collection that technology has made less critical? Explain.Making sure we have the funding to continue sharing collections between libraries, which is important to all the libraries in the area, is key to space limitations. Not all our users have computers or trendy gadgets that utilize modern technology so we have to create a happy medium of new options and standard items.What impact have economic and technological changes had on libraries? How does a library remain relevant? How should its role in the community change?The use of the Dundee Township Public Library services has increased with the current economic situation. The Library staff has done an excellent job of providing popular programs for all ages and our diverse population.
