I feel passionate about the Sugar Grove Public Library. I have become confident in my duties as library trustee over the past 3 years on the board, and I would like to continue my service.

If you are an incumbent, describe your main contributions. Tell us of important initiatives you've led. If you are a non-incumbent, tell us what contributions you would make.

Most recently the library board approved a new initiative at the library that will offer e-readers and e-audio books to our patrons. Staying up to date with technology is important to keeping the library relevant in our community.

Do you have a library card? How long have you had it? How often do you use it?

Yes, I have had a library card for Sugar Grove Public Library since we moved to this town over four years ago. I use it at least four to five times a month.

Space is usually an issue at libraries. If that's the case at your library, would your solution be to expand the physical plant or make room by doing away with parts of the collection that technology has made less critical? Explain.

What impact have economic and technological changes had on libraries? How does a library remain relevant? How should its role in the community change?

Technology is constantly changing and libraries need to be able to keep up. The popularity of e-readers have prompted the library to institute an e-reader service for our library patrons, which will be available very soon.
