UIC still looking for 1st conference win

CHICAGO — Vaughn Duggins scored 22 points and N'Gai Evans added 21 as part of Wright State's 71-63 win over Illinois-Chicago on Thursday night.

The Raiders (10-6, 3-1 Horizon) began with a 9-0 run and led by as many as 12 points early in the first half on their way to a fourth straight victory.

The Flames (5-11, 0-4) powered back to tie it with 2:55 left in the half. They managed to pull ahead by four points just after intermission on back-to-back layups by Robo Kreps and Brad Birton.

Wright State reclaimed the lead less than two minutes later on a jumper by Troy Tabler to make it 47-46. The Raiders never trailed again.

Tabler and Cooper Land finished with 10 points each for the Raiders.

Dipanjot Singh and Paul Carter led the Flames with 13 points apiece while Birton added 11.
