Bears sign three

The Bears on Tuesday signed guard Herman Johnson to the active roster and linebacker Marcus Buggs and wide receiver Jeff Moturi to the practice squad.

Defensive end Barry Turner was waived, and the practice-squad contracts of defensive end Ervin Baldwin, wide receiver Freddie Barnes and offensive tackle James Marten were terminated.

Johnson was signed off the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals, who drafted him in the fifth round (167th overall) in 2009. He was on their roster but inactive all 16 games last year and on their practice squad for the first 13 weeks this season.
