White Sox make more roster moves

The Chicago White Sox have outrighted catcher Donny Lucy and left-handed reliever Randy Williams to Class AAA Charlotte.

Both players will become minor-league free agents.

He began the season with the White Sox, going 5-15 (.333) with one homer and two RBI before being optioned to the Knights on May 2 when Ramon Castro was reinstated from the disabled list.

Williams, 35, also made the Sox Opening Day roster in 2010, going 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA (15 ER/25.0 IP) in 27 games before being optioned to Charlotte on June 30. He went 1-0 with a 2.53 ERA (9 ER/32.0 IP) in 21 games (one start) with the Knights.

With the moves, the White Sox 40-man roster is at 31.
