Help in difficult times

By

Democratic state Sen. Susan Garrett of Lake Forest is collaborating on an initiative with Moraine Township, Shields Township, West Deerfield Township, Lake County Partners and Sunset Foods.
The program “Options and Opportunities During These Difficult Times” will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15 at Highland Park Country Club, 1201 Park Avenue West, Highland Park.
There will be no admission charge and refreshments will be served. Services including health care, utility bill payment, housing opportunities and activities for active seniors will also be showcased.
“The open house will offer a smorgasbord of job opportunities, financial assistance and information on ways in which people can make ends meet,” Garrett said.
Representatives are expected from Illinois Department of Employment Security, Lake Country Job Center, Lake Country Workforce Development, Lake County Health Department, HealthReach, North Shore Gas and more.
