DuPage Forest Preserve District 4: Formento
Republican incumbent Michael Formento and Democratic challenger Eric Bergman, both of Glen Ellyn, will face off Nov. 2 for the District 4 seat on the DuPage Forest Preserve Commission.
We endorse Formento, who remains a strong voice for fiscal restraint and continues to demonstrate a willingness to raise important questions that lead to legitimate debate. A member of the commission from 1989 to 2001 and again since 2006, he remains energetic and accessible and demonstrates a deep caring for the district.
Bergman, a Democratic precinct committeeman, demonstrated his commitment to the environment by helping lead the successful fight against removing trees in Glen Ellyn’s Ackerman Park.
District 4 includes all or parts of Wheaton, Winfield, Carol Stream, Glen Ellyn, Glendale Heights and Lombard.
