Thibodeau: Bulls are not investigating Boozer injury

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau dismissed a New York Daily News report that the Bulls are investigating Carlos Boozer's hand injury.

“From what I understand, there is nothing to it, Thibodeau said after Monday's practice at the Berto Center. “The team's not looking into anything. He tripped over a bag and got hurt. It's a nonissue for us.

Another Bulls staffer joked that the “investigation was over before it started.

Boozer said his injury was the result of tripping over a gym bag at his home and using his hand to break the fall. Even if it did happen differently, how would the Bulls prove it and why would they risk alienating their new free agent addition?

Practice makes perfect:.Here are two similar descriptions of the first-ever Tom Thibodeau training camp

#8220;This is 10 times harder than the game, Keith Bogans said. #8220;I think that's how all coaches want it to be. With Thibs, he wants to make practice perfect. So everything has to be done perfect, has to be done sharp. That's him. That's how you're going to get better.

Added Derrick Rose: #8220;Every detail, if you mess up he's going to make you do it over and over again until you get it right. One time we stood here for like 10 or 15 minutes working on defense. It's tough.

More help not needed:. Tom Thibodeau had an interesting take on how the Bulls can improve defensively

#8220;I think the big thing is we may be over-helping right now, he said. #8220;We have to have more discipline to stop the ball, get into the paint and get out to that 3-point line. Giving up 11 threes in a game (against Washington), that's not something we want to do. Defensively, we still could be a lot better.

Bull horns:. The Bulls will hold their usual #8220;Paint the Town event, where they greet fans at Water Tower Place, on Monday from 5-6 p.m. #8230; The Bulls host Toronto tonight at the United Center. Former No. 1 pick Andrea Bargnani has hit 2 of 17 shots so far in preseason.
