Walker unafraid to be independent

Mark Walker's leadership in standing up to Todd Stroger and reducing the Cook County sales tax has earned him my vote this November.

It took a businessman and a reformer who had only been in office for a few months to do what all the career politicians would not. To get this tax reduced, Mark stood up to Stroger, Mike Madigan and the other powerful Chicago leaders because he doesn't work for them, he works for us.

Mark has proved himself as someone who listens to our needs and gets things done, and I know he will do what he believes is right for our community. He is the reformer that we need in Springfield.
