Robinson column wrong about GOP

I didn't have to read the comic page in the July 18 Daily Herald. I just read the column written by Eugene Robinson and it was comical enough. Then I looked at the bottom of his column and noticed he wrote for The Washington Post, which along with The New York Times and a few others are nothing more than outlets for the Democratic far left and the Obama administration.

He starts out by saying the Republicans are against extending benefits to the unemployed, which is not true. They were for it if there were cuts elsewhere in the budget to pay for it so as not to increase the out-of-control deficit - a principle the Democrats agreed to but have now backed off from.

He paints other issues with half-truths, and the last couple of paragraphs are very interesting. Mr. Robinson says the Republicans just say no to Obama's programs, but if you don't agree to runaway spending you are you supposed to say yes?

If he had only looked, there were many Republican proposals that this president who was supposed to be a "uniting" president hasn't even considered. He continued by saying that he believes the Obama administration has established a remarkable record of achievement. And then continued, "Many Americans do not agree." That's the one truth in his whole column.
