Father and son charged in killing

BELLEVILLE -- St. Clair County authorities have charged a Belleville man and his father in the drive-by shooting death of a Swansea teenager.

Authorities charged 22-year-old Marlon Fluker Jr. on Wednesday with first-degree murder in the Sunday night killing of 15-year-old Marquise Griffin. His bond was set at $2 million.

Fluker's 42-year-old father, Marlon Fluker Sr. charged with misdemeanor counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and mob action. His bond was set at $10,000.

Fluker Sr. has been a driver with the city sanitation department in Belleville for five years.

Prosecutors say Fluker Jr. did not have an attorney as of Wednesday night. Fluker Sr. has pleaded not guilty and is being represented by a public defender.
