T-Bones rattle Flyers again

The Schaumburg Flyers couldn't solve Kansas City starter Cody McAllister all afternoon and fell 6-0 to the T-Bones at Alexian Field.

Kansas City (24-16) got on the board quickly against Schaumburg starter Alain Quijano (1-5) with a Jacob Blackwood two-run home run into the party deck in the top of the first.

With the loss, the Flyers drop to 14-25 on the season.

The T-Bones put four more on the board in the fifth.

Quijano pitching into the seventh for the flyers, allowing 4 earned runs, and recording a season high 11 strikeouts with no walks. But the offense sputtered, collecting just four hits off of McAllister and getting just two runners in scoring position the entire game.

The Kansas City starter tossed his first career complete game, shutting out the Flyers and picking up a season high 10 strikeouts in the process.

The Flyers conclude their four game set with the T-Bones at Alexian Field Thursday night.
