Glen Ellyn picks new village clerk

A former village employee, Suzanne Connors, is expected to be named Glen Ellyn village clerk at a special village board meeting Monday, Jan. 18, officials said Thursday.

She'll be sworn in Jan. 25. Her appointment follows the resignation of former clerk Andrea Draths, who was elected in both 2005 and 2009.

Connors will serve as clerk through April 2011 when the position again will be up for election.
