Officials: No injuries reported in Mundelein vehicle fire

Mundelein firefighters responded to a vehicle fire inside a three-car garage Sunday afternoon, officials said in a news release.

First responding fire crews arrived within five minutes of the report at the detached garage on the 0-100 block of North Idlewild.

Firefighters used two hoses to extinguish the fire on multiple vehicles and prevent it from spreading to adjacent surroundings. The fire was controlled in about 20 minutes, authorities said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

Fire crews stayed on the scene to make sure the fire was completely out and to conduct an investigation, which is ongoing.

The Mundelein Fire Department was assisted by units from Countryside, Libertyville, Lincolnshire Riverwoods, Lake Zurich, Grayslake, and Round Lake.
