Memorial Day parade and services: Veteran of Foreign Wars of the United States Barrington Memorial Post No. 7706, Barrington, will hold the following Memorial Day activities May 26: 7:30 a.m. service White Cemetery on Cuba Road; 8 a.m. service at St. Paul Cemetery, East Main Street; 8:30 a.m. service, Barrington Center, Sutton Road and Route 68; 9 a.m. service Union Cemetery on Route 62; 10 a.m. parade will assemble at Cook, Park and Station streets; 10:30 a.m. step-off time for parade which will proceed north on Cook Street, west on Main Street, left on Dundee Avenue to Evergreen Cemetery. Free swim for students: 5:30-7:30 p.m., May 30, Barefoot Bay Family Aquatic Center, 1461 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. Complete with plunges, slides, tubes, zero-depth and a lazy river. Open to current sixth- to eighth-grade students of participating Mundelein Afterschool Coalition schools, including Mundelein School Districts 75 and 76, Fremont School District 79, Hawthorn District 73 and Santa Maria del Popolo Grade School. Storyteller/actor Chris Fascione will walk around to entertain with mime, clowning and juggling from 2 to 3:30 p.m. There also will be face painting and balloon animals.
