What was new for the Class of 2020: This is Dr. Will Dwyer's first year as principal of West Chicago Community High School. Many building renovations are still in progress, however a new Learning Resource Center (LRC) opened in January. A new Music Department opened with dedicated practice spaces for band, choir and orchestra, as well as practice and ensemble rooms, and a large instrument storage area.

Principal's reflections on the Class of 2020: I want to personally thank you as the class of 2020. You have been an exceptional group of young adults and your mark on WeGo is tremendous. You have shown us what real perseverance looks like; you have taught us what true belief in self and other looks like; you have demonstrated true excellence and we can never thank you enough for that. While this year has been cut short I promise that our memories of you will endure and WeGo will always be your home.
