Bill Raymond, 74, died at his home in Huntington Beach, Calif. on Dec. 26.

Schaumburg Road from 6:15 to 9:30 p.m. on both Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27.

Conservation trust protects Barrington Hills gravel prairie
Oct 4, 2012 2:59 PM - The 12-year-old Barrington Area Conservation Trust recently completed a four-acre conservation easement that will protect a rare gravel hill prairie in Barrington Hills from possible future development. "Most gravel hill prairies are located along the Mississippi region of Illinois and it is rare to find a gravel hill prairie in this region," said trust Executive Director Karen Yancey. "This conservation easement is a wonderful gift to the community and will ensure that both the horse trails and the rare native plants are protected through ongoing stewardship efforts."

70-year-old Barrington bicyclist kicks off fundraising trek
Aug 23, 2012 3:21 PM - The Barrington area is preparing to send off resident Bob Lee, 70, on his third Ride for 3 Reasons at a special event Sunday, Sept. 2. A send-off party with ice cream sundaes will be held at Wool Street Grill & Sports Bar in Barrington, just before Lee begins a 2,500-mile bike ride from Vancouver, Canadam to Tijuana, Mexico.

The 2012 edition of Schaumburg's Got Talent will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10 at the park district's Community Recreation Center.

Barrington's Bob Lee will ride again
May 4, 2012 8:33 AM - Barrington resident Bob Lee, 70, will be at Saturdays Barrington Area Kid Fest to begin his efforts toward A Ride for 3 Reasons: Part III a million-dollar fundraiser benefiting ALS, cancer and hospice. This September, Lee is planning to bike the the approximately 2,500 miles from Vancouver, Canada, to Tijuana, Mexico.
