Warren savors one tough regional repeatOct 31, 2013 10:40 PM - The celebration that mattered most went off flawlessly. "We have so much heart and we want it so bad this year," Ziegler, the three-year varsity player, said after the Blue Devils outlasted the host school 31-29, 25-19 to win the Class 4A McHenry regional Thursday night. It was the second regional title in a row for Warren (24-13), which will play Huntley in Tuesday's 6 p.m. sectional semifinal at Belvidere North.

King's versatility helps Wauconda net victoryFeb 3, 2013 12:03 AM - Devon King doesn't bring a high-and-mighty attitude to the Wauconda boys basketball team. "I'll play anything they need me to play," the 6-foot-2 senior said after Saturday's nonconference game at McHenry. Wauconda coach Scott Luetschwager knows how much he needs to have King playing. It showed in a 57-47 victory as King scored 13 points on 5-for-6 shooting from the field and had 9 rebounds and 3 assists to help his team improve to 12-11 with just its second win in six games.
