The village launched its Adopt-A-Hydrant program earlier this week. Crash near Huntley puts Algonquin man in hospitalAug 22, 2013 3:44 PM - A sport utility vehicle smashed into a tree in unincorporated McHenry County near Huntley Thursday morning, after it was re-ended by another vehicle, authorities said. The crash required the SUV driver's hospitalization, but the heavy rainstorms in the area complicated the situation by preventing a rescue helicopter from getting to the scene, said Andrew Zinke, undersheriff for the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
