Prospect Hts. police detective honored for saving Arlington Hts. officer

Prospect Heights Police Detective Sgt. Mark Porlier was presented with a Life Saving Commendation on March 28 by Arlington Heights Deputy Chief Andrew Whowell and Commander Nathan Hayes -- for saving the life of an Arlington Heights officer. While on assignment with the Major Case Assistance Team in Arlington Heights, Porlier, and Investigator McIntyre of the Elk Grove Village Police Department, revived the unconscious officer and saved his life with CPR. The officer is now recovering. Porlier, a 22-year veteran officer, was honored in front of the Prospect Heights City Council. • Streamwood resident and Northern Illinois Scholarship Program Ambassador Queen of Queens 2016 Arielle Christopher, 17, kicked off the Lord & Taylor Prom 2016 Fashion Show held March 5, at Lord & Taylor, in Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg. Christopher opened the show wearing Lord & Taylor's Prom 2016 "showcase dress" by Mac Duggal -- a blush lace sequined bodice dress with feather skirt in off-white. The Mac Duggal gown is featured on the cover of the Lord & Taylor Prom 2016 catalog. The fashion show was part of a prom fashions presentation which also included jewelry, cosmetics, evening shoes, music and free food.
