Batavia senior Hannah Frazier became the school's all-time leading girls basketball scorer Tuesday night when she scored 25 points in a 65-58 win over Larkin.

DeKalb co-op prevailed for the top spot in Saturday's meet held at Oswego and won the season championship as well. However, St. Charles co-op and U-46 co-op were right behind them with strong performances that gave those squads some momentum heading into regionals.

Elgin Academy's Robinson benefits from move

A change of scenery changed the direction of senior Dee Robinson's life. Robinson, who on Tuesday became the 12th player in Elgin Academy history to score 1,000 points, was living in Joliet three years ago. The guard was lost in the shuffle among several talented athletes at Joliet West High School, he said.

Larkin graduate Alex Wahl has had an interesting football ride since his playing days at the Elgin high school. An Upper Iowa graduate, Wahl will particpate in the upcoming NFL regional combine.

The VPAA Dance Academy at Larkin High School in Elgin is proud to spread autism awareness in a way never been done before. On Feb. 24-25, Elgin Area School District U-46 will bus in 1,400 elementary and middle school students to Larkin High School for a "Bring a Book to Life" production, a dance adaptation of "Joshua's Dragon."
Streamwood outlasts Larkin

As often happens, a big rally started with defense. Streamwood overcame a 10-point second-half deficit to down Larkin, 44-37, in Upstate Eight Conference River Division girls basketball action in Elgin on Tuesday.
