Nov 6, 2021 11:21 PM - Early in the year, we read about how to lose weight. Apparently, it is a major "industry." Here is my answer! Eat slowly, chew well, relax and enjoy your food! That's it. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this very simple method, except maybe it isn't so strange when you think it costs nothing! No money to be made?! Amazing! Hope this helps more people.

Skim milk not a health hazard
Nov 6, 2021 4:28 PM - I have read that skim milk is bad for you because after they remove the fat to make it skim, they then add back dried milk powder as protein fortification. It has the additional benefit of increasing the body in this otherwise thin liquid. The problem is that skim-milk powder contains oxidized cholesterol, which is bad. This argument seems a bit contrived, but I am curious what your take on it is.

Prepare for pregnancy with proper nutrition
Nov 6, 2021 1:17 PM - My husband and I are planning on starting a family. My diet is such that I eat well, but it's far from perfect. I don't always eat all the fruits and vegetables I am supposed to, and I have periodic cravings for sweets and fast foods. I am not yet pregnant, so I can't blame it on "cravings" and all that. Which vitamins and minerals play the biggest role in the development of the baby? We want to get this right, so are there any other strategies that you recommend?
