Brotherhood of Harmony in Palatine Offers Free Singing Lessons July 14

The Brotherhood Chorus will offer a special program of free singing/voice lessons beginning Thursday, July 14. The lessons will start at 7 p.m. each Thursday evening for one hour at DeerGrove Covenant Church, 225 E. Helen Road, Palatine, IL. The program will continue for five weeks through Aug. 11.

Topics to be covered will include posture, breathing, tone, articulation and voice care. Though the program is designed around men's voices, all singers would benefit from the instruction and education provided. Students will be invited to sing a song in performance with the Brotherhood Chorus when they entertain at the Lake Zurich Farmers Market on Friday, Aug. 12.

Anyone, young or old, that has always wanted to sing, or would like to hone their singing skills is invited. Whether you've been singing all your life or just starting, you're guaranteed to learn something and have fun. You'll even join the men of the chorus to rehearse your song for performance.

There is no cost and no obligation. Materials will be provided. We'll supply singing masks for those who desire them. Walk-ins are welcome, but class size is limited so we encourage all to visit BrotherhoodOfHarmony.org to register.

The Brotherhood of Harmony sings a cappella barbershop harmony and meets weekly to rehearse at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings at the DeerGrove Covenant Church. If you love to sing, the chorus has openings for all parts and skill levels, so come on down and join us. For information visit BrotherhoodOfHarmony.org or call 262-394-6380.
