The Citadel Theatre will perform an original musical adaptation of 'Winnie the Pooh' at Lake Forest Open Lands on July 21-24, 2022

Lake Forest Open Lands Association is pleased to announce in partnership with the Citadel Theatre, Winnie The Pooh with performances beginning on Thursday, July 21 through Sunday, July 24 at historic Mellody Farm Nature Preserve located at 350 North Waukegan Road in Lake Forest, IL. Ticket goers are encouraged to bring their own picnic dinners, beverages, refreshments, blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy while watching this original musical retelling of the classic story in an outdoor setting.

Greg Dennhardt will be the director for each performance with music by Mark Adamcyzk. "Having Lake Forest Open Lands host this original musical production allows the Citadel to provide world-class theater for theatre goes of all ages, outside in nature," said Scott Phelps, founder of Citadel Theatre. The 6 PM curtain times will remain sharp and guests are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to each performance to select their lawn spot. This play is recommended for ages 2 and above. Each performance is 60 minutes in length.

Mellody Farm Nature Preserve's pastural setting will act as the backdrop or stage for each performance. If rain or inclement weather should occur for any performance, the venue will be relocated just ΒΌ mile south of Mellody Farm Nature Preserve at the Citadel Theatre's indoor main theater at 300 S. Waukegan Road in Lake Forest. The performance schedule will

be the following; Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, at 6 PM with additional matinee offerings on Saturday and Sunday at 3:30 PM.
