Arlingtones Barbershop Chorus - Free Concert Under the Stars

On Wednesday, July 20, the Arlingtones Barbershop Chorus will present its fourth annual "Concertt Under the Stars" at 7 p.m., in Arlington Heights' beautiful North School Park (located between Eastman St., Evergreen Ave., and Arlington Heights Rd.). There is no charge for this event.

The Arlingtones, which is the Arlington Heights Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, is an award-winning chorus that has been entertaining throughout the NW Chicagoland suburbs for 70 years. Their programs are fun and energetic because they sing a variety of great toe-tapping show tunes, contemporary classics, Barbershop standards, and patriotic songs, all a Capella in close Barbershop harmony. They also encourage the audience to sing along on some songs, which adds to this fun evening. In addition, the Arlingtones quartets add variety throughout the concert.

Special guests for the evening include the Color Guard from American Legion Post #208 in Arlington Heights and the LCC Military Kare-9 Comfort Dogs (all Golden Retrievers) from Northbrook.

Bring your lawn chair or blanket and arrive early so you can say hello to the Color Guard and enjoy meeting the wonderful Comfort Dogs and their handlers. Feel free to bring a snack and beverage, but no alcoholic beverages are allowed.

Call Jerry Reed, Chorus Manager (847) 707-8322) if you have questions.
