Sixth annual Gift of Colors on Flag Day at Elk Grove Village's Enclave Academy

A Flag Day event is planned for Tuesday, June 14, from 8:20 to 9 a.m. at The Enclave, 75 Turner Ave. in Elk Grove Village.

The event is free and open to the public of all ages. Free parking is available on site.

The Elk Grove Village Fire Department will present "A Gift of Colors" to Enclave Academy. The current flag will be retired, and a U.S. flag will be presented in honor of leaders in business and nonprofit organizations.

These leaders strengthen our community with their commitment to learning, volunteerism, and generosity. The Enclave encourages and facilitates collaboration with public safety departments, elected officials, and others who influence the quality of life for residents and the business community.

Fire and police public safety vehicles will be on display. Featured speakers are state Sen. Laura Murphy, state Rep. Michelle Mussman, and Cook County Board Commissioner Kevin Morrison (District 15).

Personnel and vehicles from the Elk Grove Village police and fire departments will be on site for display. In case of rain, the event will take place indoors.

Enclave Academy will provide "Morning Brews & Bites" from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

Enclave Learning & Earning Center (Enclave O'Hare) is a nonprofit socioeconomic development and education initiative, supporting entrepreneurial individuals and their influencers.
