Village of Hoffman Estates seeks artwork and poetry for Pride Month celebration

The Village of Hoffman Estates is seeking artwork and poetry to showcase at an upcoming Pride Month Celebration hosted by its Health and Human Services Department. The Pride Month Celebration will take place on June 24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Hoffman Estates Village Hall and will feature performances of spoken word, poetry and a pride-themed poem and art gallery. Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall riots and is a time to celebrate and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.

Artists, poets and performers interested in participating should email their submissions by Tuesday, May 24, to Sam Martin at Samantha.Martin@hoffmanestates.org. Please include a brief description of your artwork to display alongside your piece (i.e., what it represents or means to you). Artists may choose to remain anonymous if desired. For poetry submissions, please indicate whether you would like to perform your poem or if it is for display only.

For more information, please contact the Health and Human Services Department at 847-781-4850 or visit hoffmanestates.org/hhs.
