Dress in your best 1920s attire for Celebrate Highwood event
In its ongoing effort to give back and build strong community, Celebrate Highwood is kicking off the 2022 fundraising season with its annual Roaring 2020s Jazzed Up Dining & Classical Cocktails from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Highwood's 28 Mile Distilling Company, 454 Sheridan Road, Highwood.
The event will benefit the Celebrate Highwood public charity operating fund.
This event takes attendees back in time to a 1920s speak-easy where men and women dressed, dined and danced to the sounds of jazz. Celebrate Highwood's Roaring 2020s Jazzed Up Dining & Classical Cocktails event invites guests to don their best flapper dresses and Great Gatsby attire, enjoy the sounds of jazz in the cocktail lounge, dance to the sounds of Bowmanville Swing and learn to Charleston with Step 2 This Dance Studio instructors in the Bourbon Lounge. There also will be dinner and classic cocktails reminiscent of the 1920s.
Tickets are available in advance for $75. Space is limited to 250, so advance registration is recommended. Tickets can be purchased through the Celebrate Highwood website.
The online silent auction will feature an array of items, including a two night stay at a choice of 11 Montage Hotel Properties, two one-year memberships at Highwood's Bocce Club, a six-month CrossFit/gym membership, plus 16 personal training sessions from Performance Factory Training, an Abt Electronics package, including a 65-inch 4K Smart TV and $200 gift certificate, and more.
