Enjoy the cold weather at Spring Valley Winter Fest

Embrace the beauty of winter at Spring Valley Winter Fest, sponsored by the Spring Valley Nature Club and Schaumburg Bank & Trust.

Spring Valley Winter Fest is set for noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 12 and 13, at Spring Valley, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. Activities include snowshoeing, winter-themed outdoor games, marshmallow roasting over a bonfire, and dog sledding demonstrations.

"We enjoy creating a family-friendly event centered around winter fun," said Dave Brooks, Spring Valley manager. "We're excited to host Adopt A Husky Inc. Dogsled demonstrations are a favorite among attendees."

Admission is $3 per person or $12 per family, purchased at the event; free for children ages 3 and younger. Snowshoe availability will be weather-dependent.
