Spine Pain Performance Center to raise funds for nutritious meals provided to cancer patients

From Feb. 8-23, the Spine Pain Performance Center will be helping to raise money in support of Fox Valley Food for Health, a local organization that provides nutritious meals to patients suffering from cancer.

Local chiropractor Dr. David Ginsberg will give any new patient a voucher for all of their first day services (a $335 value) for free in exchange for a $50 donation to Fox Valley Food for Health.

This donation will provide healthy nutritious meals for almost a week for one cancer patient.

The vision of Fox Valley Food for Health is to build a caring network that provides nurturing, healthy meals to clients and their families who struggle with the challenges of serious illness, particularly cancer. At the same time they are educating: providing teens with the opportunity to grow whole foods, cook nutrient-dense meals and give back to their community. Adult Volunteers share their talents by teaching and mentoring the teens in regard to life skills that will endure - cooking, caring, nutrition, teamwork and giving. Clients also learn how to cook and eat fresh, organic food which stimulates and supports the healing process.

"I can't think of an organization that aligns better with what our office is trying to do- educate about healthy preventative lifestyle habits of good eating, exercise and spine care to stimulate health and recover from injury/disease," said Dr. Ginsberg. "In addition, we love and feel it is our duty to help and support our neighbors in times of need and crisis like serious illnesses."

"This is a great way for us to be involved in our community and make a difference, both by helping provide money for nutritious meals for cancer patients in need and by offering a free evaluation to those suffering from back pain, neck pain, headaches and other spinal related problems," said Dr. Ginsberg.

To take advantage of this great opportunity and receive a free spinal checkup while helping provide one week of nutritious meals to local cancer patients, call the office at (630) 232-6400. Tell them you want to "Schedule for the Fox Valley Food For Health promotion.
