Elgin's St. John's Lutheran to install new pastor Feb. 5

St. John's Lutheran Church in Elgin recently announced the arrival of their new pastor.

Pastor Kevin Ader will lead the weekend services for the first time, with worship at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, and 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday Feb. 6, at the church, 115 N. Spring St.

With a master's degree from Concordia Wisconsin, Pastor Ader brings a wealth of experience in both large and small congregations, serving most recently in Wisconsin. He feels that some of the many joys of his ministry are preaching the word, leading Bible studies, and leadership development. His previous churches participated in Lutheran Education and several community outreach projects.

A service of installation for Pastor Ader will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, with a reception to follow.

The community is welcome. Masks are required.
