Celebrate Catholic Schools Week with Prince of Peace

Catholic Schools Week will take place Sunday, Jan. 30, to Saturday, Feb. 5, this year.

National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week. The theme for the National Catholic Schools Week 2022 is "Catholic Schools: Living Life to the Full."

Throughout the week, Prince of Peace Catholic School, a two-time nationally recognized Blue Ribbon school, and other Catholic schools across the United States focus on the value that Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to the church, communities and the nation.

Prince of Peace invites the community to get to know them better during this week. Community members are invited to an open house from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30. Attendees can view their seventh- and eighth-grade science fair projects and visit their new STEM Lab.

Additionally, anyone interested in a tour of the school and state-of-the-art Parish Life Center is encouraged to call the office at (847) 356-6111.

"We value our student body, as well as our faculty, staff and parents at Prince of Peace. Catholic Schools Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate them as well as the importance of Catholic education," said Dr. Stephanie Stoneberg, principal of Prince of Peace.

"We also value our parishioners and local community and appreciate all that ours do for us."
