Fox River Valley DAR to offer genealogy workshop for prospective members Jan. 30

The Fox River Valley Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is hosting a workshop for women interested in joining the NSDAR on Sunday, Jan. 30, from 1-3pm at the Huntley Area Public Library, 11000 Ruth Road, Huntley. Please ask at the library desk for the room location.

The DAR is the largest lineage society in American with over 185,000 current members who trace their ancestry to a patriot who fought for or aided in some way the cause of American Independence.

If interested in joining this women's service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education, patriotism and honoring the patriots of the Revolutionary War, contact Registrar Joan Longmire at geniejoan@comcast.net to sign up for the workshop.
