It's National Blood Donor Month - be a lifesaver and sign up for donation

During National Blood Donor Month in January, local civic organizations and churches are partnering with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois to host blood drives.

One donation of blood can save up to three lives.

Did you know that 37% of the U.S. population is qualified to donate blood, but less than 4% do? Be more than a number; be a lifesaver and donate now. It takes about an hour.

Appointments are preferred at donate.illinois.versiti.org/donor/schedules/city, but walk-ins are welcome.

Anyone age 17 or older in good health who meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to give. Parental consent is required for donors age 16 to donate blood. Photo ID is required.
