Rep. Bos Sponsors Opportunities to Support Community Needs This Holiday Season

SPRINGFIELD - State Representative Chris Bos (R-Lake Zurich) is joining with various partners to sponsor a Season of Giving Blood Drive and a Spread Good Cheer Collection Drive this holiday season. The Season of Giving Blood Drive, in collaboration with Ela Township, Brightway Insurance and Versiti, will take place on Thursday, December 16. The Spread Good Cheer Collection Drive, supporting local children through CASA of Lake and Cook Counties, is collecting various new items until December 20.

"It's the season of giving, and while there are many worthy causes to give to this holiday season, I hope you'll consider supporting our blood drive or CASA collection drive, or maybe both," said Bos. "We are still facing a blood shortage, and your donation could save up to three lives, while a gift to our CASA collection could brighten the spirits of a local child in need this year."

The Season of Giving Blood Drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, at the Ela Township Building located at 1155 East IL-22 in Lake Zurich. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Visit https://bit.ly/BloodDrive-12-16-21 to schedule an appointment. Photo I.D. and mask required to donate. Culver's of Lake Zurich is also providing a pint of frozen custard to all donors.

The Spread Good Cheer Collection Drive is accepting new items Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rep. Bos' district office located at 92 E Main Street in Lake Zurich. Items may be dropped off or shipped directly to the office. All donations will support Court Appointed Special Advocates - CASA of Lake and Cook Counties for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
