Mount Prospect seeks nominees for Shining Star Awards

Mount Prospect's Special Events Commission is seeking nominations of individuals and organizations to be honored with its annual the Shining Star Awards.

The awards recognize those who have a positive impact on the community.

Award categories include: Best Neighbor Award, Open Arms Award, Home Town Award, There Ought to Be More Like This Award, Invigorated Youth Award, Star Spangled Banner Award and Community Partner Award. If the person you wish to nominate does not quite fit into the established categories, create a new one.

The nomination form, as well as a detailed list of categories, is available at mountprospect.org. Click on the Shining Stars logo at the bottom of the home page of the website. Forms are also available at village hall, 50 S. Emerson St.

Nominations must be received by midnight Nov. 29.
