Sponsors needed for Hanover Township senior holiday program

The Hanover Township Department of Aging Services is in need of sponsors for the annual Adopt-A-Senior program for low-income residents 55 and older.

Those interested in sponsoring an older adult this holiday season can take a card off the tree at the Senior Center, 240 S. IL Route 59, Bartlett. Each card represents an item for a senior in need. Donors can remove the card from the tree, obtain and wrap the specified item and return to Social Services. For clothing items, it is helpful to include a gift receipt. All gift items must be returned to the Senior Center by Tuesday, Nov. 29.

Last year, over 125 seniors received gifts from the holiday program.

Monetary donations and gift cards are also appreciated. A check made payable to Hanover Township can be mailed or dropped off at Hanover Township Senior Services, 240 S. IL Route 59, Bartlett, IL 60103, Attention: Diana Gomez.

For questions or for more information, please contact the Hanover Township Senior Center at (630) 483-5660.
