Paul Davis of Southeast and Fox Valley, Wisconsin expands footprint with the purchase of Paul Davis of Lake County, Illinois

Brady Chuckel, president of Paul Davis of Southeast and Fox Valley, Wisconsin, a leading provider of fire and water damage clean up, restoration and remodeling services, recently announced the company's purchase of Paul Davis of Lake County, Illinois to join its service territories in Appleton, Wis. and headquarters in Waukesha, Wis. In October, Brady along with his business partners Jeff Hertel and Tim Guilette, and company leadership, formalized the sale with Norm Kerr, president and owner of the Lake County franchise office for more than 20 years.

The Illinois company headquarters for Paul Davis of Southeast and Fox Valley will be a newly built 30,000-square-foot office, warehouse, and contents cleaning and storage facility in Waukegan at 3979 Bur Wood Drive. According to Chuckel, the location will present opportunities for staff and hiring as the business grows to meet the demands of an established and growing customer base.

"Paul Davis of Lake County led by Norm Kerr, has serviced the Chicagoland area as a well-respected and successful operation. We are proud to carry on the torch and continue the tradition of offering the best service in the industry to this community," said Chuckel. "We begin the journey by moving the business previously in Lake Forest to a larger space. We will continue to serve as the Paul Davis network's large loss leader during catastrophes and devastating damage to commercial and residential properties," he said.

According to Kerr, he and his wife Susan, along with crew members will be at the new office to establish operations and customer relationships with existing and new staff. Chuckel looks forward to working with the established professionals who work diligently in the rigorous industry. Kerr is certified by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) in Applied Structural Drying, Applied Microbial Remediation, Fire and Smoke Restoration and Water Damage Restoration. He is also a Certified LEAD Renovator and Certified in Mold Remediation and Safety.

"Susan and I built this business as a new franchise territory for Paul Davis beginning in 2001. We are ready to hand the reins to the Paul Davis team from Wisconsin with a track record as the most successful office in the entire network, and with a top award-winning staff to serve our longtime and new customers," said Kerr. "We are honored to have worked in Lake County and surrounding communities, and will remain in Downers Grove where our family and friends reside," he said. Kerr is a native Illinoisan with a previous career in advertising and marketing prior to purchasing the Paul Davis office. He has a Master of Science in Communication degree from Northwestern University's School of Communication in Evanston, Ill. Kerr's former Paul Davis office was located at 28101 Ballard Drive, Suite B in Lake Forest, Ill.

Assisting Chuckel, Kerr and their new team will include full-service, IICRC-certified professionals addressing emergency damage due to water, smoke, fire and wind, and remodeling, as well as the reconstruction needed following an emergency, and large losses.

Ownership of Paul Davis of Southeast and Fox Valley was established in 2013 by tenured Paul Davis employees Chuckel, Hertel and Guilette. The franchise was originally formed in 1990 while the highly successful and philanthropic company continues to grow further with more than 130 employees and 80 vehicles. "The expansion of the company's footprint and capabilities in southeast Wisconsin and Fox Valley, and now in Illinois, supports our focus on future success with prudent planning and hiring efforts to attract professional tradespeople, skilled technicians, administrative support, and sales and marketing specialists, among others to best serve our customers," said Chuckel.

Chuckel and his team have their main corporate offices in the Northmound industrial area on 10-acres at W226 N918, Northmound Drive, #100 in Waukesha overlooking I-94, and at 3210 North Zuehlke Drive in Appleton to serve customers in Oshkosh, Neenah, Appleton, and Green Bay.
