Electric Christmas Parade entry deadline extended to Nov. 5

The deadline for entry in the 2021 St. Charles Electric Christmas Parade has been extended.

Businesses and nonprofits with interest in being a part of this event should return completed forms to the St. Charles Business Alliance office in the St. Charles Municipal Building no later than 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5.

The Electric Christmas Parade steps off on Main Street at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27.

Businesses and nonprofits that would like to enter the parade may do so by completing and returning the parade entry form, certificate of insurance and an entry fee.

The application fee is $275 for businesses and $25 for nonprofits. Certificates of insurance must name the St. Charles Business Alliance and the City of St. Charles as additional insured.

The Lighting of the Lights on the First Street Plaza begins at 5 p.m. Then visit with Santa on the First Street Plaza after the ceremony until 7 p.m.

Check out the Holiday Tree Trail Display and Contest, along First Street Waterfront Walkway, for in-person voting Nov. 26-28.

On Saturday, Nov. 27, the free holiday movie will be "Frozen II" at the Arcada Theatre. The movie starts 10 a.m. with doors opening at 9 a.m.

The Electric Christmas Parade will travel down Main Street at 5:30 p.m. All Holiday Homecoming events and activities are free.

Starting Nov. 27 to Dec. 19, Santa's House will open 1 to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.

The Electric Christmas Parade is sponsored by St. Charles Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. Platinum level sponsors include Audi Exchange, The PRIDE Stores and @Properties, and Gold level sponsors include Fox Valley Auto Group, McNally's Heating and Cooling, Premier Living Properties, Trotter and Associates, Christ Community Church, 93 Octane Brewery and McGrath Honda in St. Charles.
