Local author to present 'REAL Stories of Little Ladies' book at virtual author's showcase Oct. 28

Bolingbrook, IL. (Oct. 14) - Dating as a Little Person of color can be difficult. It feels like you have to constantly prove yourself 24/7. Being rejected and objectified on the dating apps can make you reconsider your self-worth. Samyuktha Neeraja describes this experience and how she overcame it in the book "A Little Perspective (ALP): REAL Stories of Little Ladies."

Samyuktha says, "I love being a Little Person, but it hasn't always been easy. Knowing you aren't the only one that has experienced challenges and seeing how others got through them can be really empowering. It is my hope that these stories resonate not only with other women with dwarfism but all women."

You can join Samyuktha and the other authors as they speak and answer questions about their experiences at the ALP Author's Showcase at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 (CST). Free tickets are available on Eventbrite (alpauthorsshowcase.eventbrite.com) and the "A Little Perspective" Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ALittlePerspectiveLLC).

You can read Samyuktha's and the other author's personal and touching stories in "A Little Perspective: REAL Stories of Little Ladies". To order a book or arrange a speaking engagement, you can email Samyuktha at sgumidyala315@gmail.com or call her at (630) 453-1718.
